When we decided that the capital of Portugal would be one of our destinations this year, one of the first things we did was to look for a hostel in Lisbon.
It didn't take us long to decide. This is Lisbon Hostel offered us everything we were looking for and much more...
Getting from the airport to This is Lisbon Hostel is very easy thanks to the two elevators that we have at our disposal for free.
We have to take the metro, the red line from the airport and get off at Alameda. From there, we connect with the green line to Rossio and from there we only have to cross to Rua do Franqueiras, where we find the first elevator, which runs until 9pm and which will take us to Rua Madalena.
Leaving here, we just have to cross the street and get to the next elevator, which will take us almost to the doors of This is Lisbon Hostel.
Leaving the elevator, we have to take the street Costa do Castelo until we find our Hostel about 300 meters walking.

To get there from Costa do Castelo street you have to go down some stairs and you will find directly the door of the Hostel.

As soon as we arrive we are welcomed at the reception of the Hostel, which is integrated in the living-dining room.

There we do the check-in and first of all they explain us the functioning of all the rooms of the Hostel and they inform us about the activities that we can do directly with them.
After that, they accompany us to our room for the next 3 nights.

The room has all the comforts we need. From a very comfortable bed to adjustable heating throughout the room.
The dimensions of the room are not too big, but big enough to move around comfortably and to leave our luggage without disturbing us.

We have plug sockets close at hand, on the bedside tables, a must when you travel with mobile phones, cameras and other devices that need their dose of charge every night ????

The private bathroom we have at our disposal is as big or bigger than the room itself, something we appreciate when we are used to having much smaller bathrooms.

In the bathroom we have a shower with a perfect water flow and very easy to control the temperature. Something that in many occasions, being a very simple thing, we don't find in the places where we stay.
We also have furniture where we can put all those little things that we end up adding to our toiletries...

In the room we have free wifi. It has a more than acceptable speed and the only downside we can find is that from time to time the signal is lost. But that was only on a few occasions during the 3 nights we used it.

In this room we have computers at our disposal for free, as well as internet connection.

We have a room where we have all the items that are necessary to cook and eat in case we want to do it in this Hostel in Lisbon.

We have a dishwasher, where we have to put all the pots and pans we use, including plates, cutlery...etc.
The only thing we are asked to do is that, if it is full, we put it on.
In the fridge we can put all our food, with labels indicating our name to avoid misunderstandings.

In the kitchen we also have a small fridge, where we can find water, soft drinks...etc and we can buy them at a very cheap price.
This is something that we have also missed in many accommodations, where you arrive and you have forgotten to buy water...and you have no way to get it unless you pay a high price for the minibar service.

By the way, the hostel recycles, something that is not usual to find in accommodation and we loved it!

And next to the kitchen, we find one of the most pleasant rooms of the This is Lisbon Hostel: the living-dining room.
This is where breakfast is served every morning, included in the price of the room, and it's the place where you can meet the other people staying here.

In the lounge/dining room there is also a wall with information about all the activities you can do in the hostel. From surfing, to a trip to Sintra, to free tours around the city.

The breakfast at This is Lisbon Hostel is very complete and they offer us from coffee/tea (which we can drink all day long for free), to different breads and cereals.
We also have jam, butter, nutella...etc.
Orange juice, milk, water... Everything we need to start the day with energy.
And eggs...so we can cook them ourselves the way we like.

We have a toaster at our disposal, located in a privileged place in the living/dining room...one of the access doors to the terrace.

We find an incredible place where we can enjoy the sun and some hammocks that invite us to stay here forever...

This is Lisbon Hostel is an accommodation in Lisbon of which we had read very good reviews in many accommodation websites and now, after having been there, we can't say anything else but that it's an accommodation of 10...
It only has one downside... and that is that we can't stay forever!!! ????
